Join Our Team as an Arboriculture / Tree Surveyor!
Are you passionate about trees and green spaces? Platform Property Care is expanding its in-house arboriculture service, and we are looking for a knowledgeable and motivated Arboriculture Surveyor to join us based in Newark/Lincolnshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to become one of our subject matter experts, supporting our commitment to sustainability and enhancing the quality of our communal green spaces.
What could you be doing?
Based in and covering the Newark/Lincolnshire area, you will be surveying and documenting all tree stock in all communal estate areas and retirement accommodation. You will then produce maintenance schedules in order of urgency.
Supported by a dedicated Coordinator you will ensure that the tree data is accurate across our green spaces.

Some things we need from you:
You will be the subject matter expert in this locality giving great service, providing ad-hoc expert advice, guidance, and recommendations to internal requests prioritising as necessary based on your experience and knowledge.
A customer focused approach, efficient and with good organisational skills. Self-motivated, and driven to meet objectives, you'll have the ability to work autonomously. You will also possess good written and verbal communication skills, and strong IT skills.
Professionally you will have:
- QCF Level 3 Lantra Arboriculture Qualification or equivalent is essential.
- A City & Guilds/ National Diploma or equivalent in Horticulture is desirable.
- It would also be desirable if you were an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture and working towards Corporate Membership
You will also have experience in:
- Carrying out tree health surveys, hazard assessment, visual tree inspection and risk assessment surveys and reports
- Dealing with Tree Preservation Order issues
- You will have an In-depth knowledge and experience of professional Arboriculture work.
- An understanding of key industry standards and current guidance on tree risk management
This is a mobile role covering a wide geographical area across Newark and Lincolnshire, so a full, valid driving licence is essential. A company van and fuel card will be provided to support you in the role. To be considered, you will need to live within the area covered by the role and hold a current, valid driving licence.
